DEEP RESEARCH FUND – Investment Strategy
This is how the Deep Research Fund came into being
Years ago, we asked ourselves how we would invest in equities if we were completely free to implement our beliefs on long-term investing.
The Deep Research Fund is a long-term shareholder of publicly traded companies. The fund’s objective is to invest with a long-term perspective and to achieve an above-average return. The strategy is based on fundamental bottom-up equity analysis with a clearly defined research process. Due to the long-term orientation, the strategy ignores short-term fluctuations on the market and therefore has no use for market timing or leverage.
We look for companies that add value to society and are managed sustainably. The way we take climate change, ethical concerns on products, environmental impact or diversity into consideration can be found in our sustainability section. Furthermore, we put particular emphasis on valuation and a bearable risk profile when researching companies.
In order to find companies that meet our expectations, we follow the clearly defined investment process detailed below.
